National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)
Since 1993, BT Federal has installed over 30 messaging systems across the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) enterprise. BT Federal messaging products are capable of handling millions of messages every day and hold an enviable reputation in the marketplace for robustness and reliability.
Over the years NASA's requirement has evolved from a message-switch application into more of a directory-centric program, which supports its public key infrastructure.
BT Federal currently supports 13 NASA centers. We have converted NASA's legacy mail system at Langley, Virginia to an Internet messaging system, which enables all virus and spam checking of email to take place at the message switch, rather than at the desktop, ensuring reliability and low maintenance costs.
Today, BT Federal is currently involved in the design of the NASA Integrated Services Environment (NISE) project - an agency-wide program incorporating the Identity Management System (IDMS), Cyber Identiy Management System (CIMS) and NASA Account Management System (NAMS). NISE will provide the NASA workforce with an information infrastructure, tools and services that support NASA management, science and technology programs.
BT Syntegra Federal's messaging and directory initiatives continue to play an important supporting role in the U.S. space program.
